Help for fire victims instead of record promotion

Colleague scolding from rocker Tommy Lee. Instead of promoting their music, they should take care of the victims of the fires in Los Angeles.
Hard rocker Tommy Lee (62) let off a lot of steam. He accuses other musicians of promoting their tours and albums instead of supporting the victims of the wildfires in Los Angeles. Lee’s clear verdict: “No one is interested in promotional activities at the moment!” In the midst of “one of the greatest catastrophes of all time,” he instead calls on his colleagues to provide concrete help for those affected.
“It makes me fucking sick”
In his post, the drummer of the cult band Mötley Crüe and ex-husband of Pamela Anderson (57) addressed his music colleagues directly: “It makes me damn sick to see that most people only care about a posting on lame Social media, people, right now no one cares when your record comes out or the next concert is when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!”
“Leave everything behind”
Lee continues: He understands that “some distraction” is needed in such difficult times. “But for heaven’s sake,” he continues his dramatic appeal, “drop everything and see who needs help if you can.”
The wildfires in Los Angeles have destroyed thousands of homes and killed at least two dozen people. The two most destructive fires, the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire, are currently only “17% and 35% contained, respectively,” according to hard rock magazine Heavy Consequence. The magazine had taken up Lee’s appeal.
Beyoncé and Nine Inch Nails cancel tour announcements
In fact, a number of artists have already postponed major tour and album announcements out of respect for the victims of the fires. The hard rock stars Nine Inch Nails have decided to postpone the announcement of the dates of their world tour. Beyoncé, 43, also canceled a big announcement planned for January 14th “due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires.”
Tommy Lee’s band Mötley Crüe posted on Facebook on January 9: “To everyone affected by the devastating and unprecedented fires in our hometown of Los Angeles, our thoughts are with you during this very difficult time. May you and your loved ones Stay safe as we stand together to overcome it.”
