Riley Keough and Lisa Marie Presley: She had to call mom from prison

Riley Keough (35) reported on a youthful sin that she has never told anyone about. The daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley (1968-2023) confessed that she was arrested years ago and therefore had to call her mother from prison, who was angry with her afterwards.

“She had her rebellious moment, which I had too,” remembers Keough in an interview with podcaster Alex Cooper (30). As a teenager, the actress sneaked out, “hung out with people I wasn’t supposed to see, that I wasn’t allowed to see, and was arrested.” But why? “I can’t say,” Keough bristles briefly before admitting, “It was because of a break-in. I was at a party at a friend’s house, but I didn’t know it wasn’t that friend’s house. It was a house that was for sale. The police came and most of the people escaped and then about ten of us were arrested.”

However, her mother Lisa Marie’s reaction may have been worse. At the time of her arrest, young Riley was also under house arrest for around three months. “I was on house arrest and she was in Las Vegas and I had to call her and tell her to come back from Vegas and pick me up at the jail.” She couldn’t come, was the answer from her mother, who sent Keough’s aunt instead.

“My mom was pissed off,” says the 35-year-old. Her famous mother didn’t try to cover up the story either. “That’s on you, girl,” she said. Fortunately, the whole thing wasn’t picked up by the media at the time.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Elvis Presley (1935-1977), died in January 2023 at the age of 54. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office announced that a small bowel obstruction was diagnosed as a long-term consequence of weight-loss surgery.
