A French woman transferred 830,000 euros to a fake Brad Pitt. The real actor now emphasized how bad this fraud was.
Brad Pitt (60) reacts to the love scam that deprived a French woman of her savings in his name. The woman previously made it public that she had transferred around 830,000 euros to criminals who posed as the actor. “It’s terrible that fraudsters take advantage of fans’ strong ties to celebrities,” said a spokesman for the real Hollywood star.
Brad Pitt does not have accounts on major social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), the statement continued. “This is an important reminder not to respond to unsolicited online contact, especially from actors who do not have a social media presence,” the spokesperson said.
Deception with AI images
The 53-year-old woman reported about her alleged relationship with Brad Pitt on the TF1 channel’s “Sept à huit” program a few days ago. For a year and a half she believed she was in a relationship with him because, among other things, she was deceived with images created by artificial intelligence (AI). She even divorced her husband because of the fraud and transferred a total of around 830,000 euros to her fake partner. The very rich Hollywood star needed the money for cancer treatment because he currently has no access to his accounts due to his divorce from Angelina Jolie (49).
It was only reports about Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon (31) that finally made the woman doubt her. In the summer of 2024, she filed a complaint about fraud.
Pitt has been with his partner, who is almost 30 years younger, for two years. Last September, the couple appeared on the red carpet together for the first time at the Venice Film Festival. Until 2016, he was in a relationship with Angelina Jolie for twelve years.
