Looking after foreign delegations and taking a look behind the scenes: you can take part in the ESC in Basel for free. What are the requirements?
Volunteers are being sought for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in Basel to support the smooth running of the event in May. A total of 700 will be employed, and applications are also open to people from Germany, as a city spokeswoman said upon request.
Anyone interested must register on the platform www.swissvolunteers.ch. You must be available for at least ten days between May 1st and May 20th, 2025. The ESC takes place from May 10th to 17th.
The successful applicants will receive an exclusive look behind the scenes, as the media company SRF announced. Anyone aged 18 or over can apply. The tasks include, for example, looking after international delegations, welcoming fans and the press or providing support at information and check points.
