Dave Grohl is also offering his help during the current fires in California and is distributing food to those affected and relief workers.
Large fires are currently raging in and around Los Angeles. Dave Grohl (56) spent his birthday voluntarily cooking meals for those affected and relief workers in the disaster area. The organization “Feed the Streets” shared several clips in which the frontman of the band Foo Fighters stirs a large pot of chili and also pushes a cart.
He has been involved in charitable causes for years
Grohl, who lives in Encino, a district of Los Angeles, is known for his willingness to help as a volunteer. Last February, the Foo Fighters frontman spent 24 hours in the kitchen during Super Bowl weekend to feed the homeless. “This time he set a personal record by cooking 100 pork shoulders, equivalent to 1,800 meals,” Hope the Mission said at the time.
2023 also reported that Grohl took time off from the Foo Fighters tour to help homeless people in Melbourne, Australia. The Big Umbrella organization also shared several pictures of the former Nirvana drummer helping in the kitchen, calling him “one of the nicest guys on the planet.” Only after his relief operation did Grohl fly on to Sydney to continue the tour with his bandmates.
These stars also offer their support
In addition to Dave Grohl, other stars are also helping the victims of the forest fires. As he announced, presenter Jimmy Kimmel (57) founded a donation center on the premises of his show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (since 2003, on ABC). Since January 13th, Kimmel and his team have been accepting donations such as baby and pet food, hygiene products, diapers, socks and non-perishable food. According to the post, the fundraising campaign runs until January 17th.
Hilary Duff (37) gave her fellow actress Mandy Moore (40) and her loved ones shelter after the family of five’s house was destroyed. But that’s not all: Duff set up a GoFundMe campaign for him and his family. His own house was also destroyed by the fire. “They have taken care of my entire family since the beginning. I will never be able to properly thank them,” Goldsmith said.
