Justin Baldoni is seeking $400 million in damages in a lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

As previously announced, actor and director Justin Baldoni (40) is suing actress Blake Lively (37) and her husband, Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds (48). He is demanding damages of at least $400 million from the two and other defendants. The couple therefore tried to steal the film “Just One More Time” and “destroy” Baldoni with false claims. He accuses the defendants of, among other things, a form of blackmail, defamation and violation of his privacy.

“Fundamentally, this is not about celebrities trashing each other in the press,” from Baldoni’s lawsuit filed in New York. “This case is about two of the most powerful stars in the world using their enormous power to steal an entire film from the hands of the director and production studio. […] When the plaintiffs have their day in court, jurors will recognize that even the most powerful celebrity cannot bend the truth to their will.”

More “just one more time” complaints

It’s not the first lawsuit filed in a legal war related to the film “Just One More Time.” declared at the turn of the year, Baldoni and his publicists also sued the daily newspaper. He believes he and his team “have been slandered in an article about actress Blake Lively’s claims that she was the victim of a smear campaign.” The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, seeks $250 million in damages, according to the report.

US Media 2024 reports that Lively has filed a lawsuit against co-star and director Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department. It’s about sexual harassment and a coordinated attempt to destroy the actress’ reputation. It was also noted that Baldoni’s alleged behavior had caused the Livelys family “severe emotional suffering.”

“I hope my lawsuit will help lift the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics that harm people who speak out about wrongdoing – and protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement on the matter. Later filed in New York federal court against Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and other parties. The decision to speak out about the situation “unfortunately led to further retaliation and attacks,” the actress’ legal team said. “The defendants will now have to answer for their conduct in federal court.”
