Some of the music scene’s biggest artists come together for a benefit concert. Their goal: to raise funds for people affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles. The star line-up for “FireAid” was announced on Thursday (January 16). including Billie Eilish (23) and her brother Finneas (27), Earth, Wind & Fire, Green Day, Gwen Stefani (55), Katy Perry (40), Lady Gaga (38), Pink (45), the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart (80) and Sting (73).

More stars are still to be announced

The concert will take place on January 30th in Inglewood, California at two different venues. Additional artists and guests will be announced in the coming days. Tickets for the mega concert go on sale on Wednesday, January 22nd. It is said that various streaming services will broadcast the show. The cost of the event will apparently be covered by the Los Angeles Clippers, who play at the Intuit Dome, one of the venues.

According to US media reports, the proceeds from the concert will benefit an organization founded specifically for the event. This will focus on rebuilding infrastructure, supporting affected families and fire prevention measures to ensure Los Angeles is better prepared in the future. Many Hollywood stars have already helped those affected with money and donations in kind.

At least 25 people died in the fire disaster

The fires broke out on January 7th in Pacific Palisades, a part of Los Angeles. Fanned by strong winds, the flames spread across Los Angeles County. More than 12,000 houses, buildings and facilities are said to have been destroyed by the fire. At least 25 people died in the fires.
