Before the inauguration in Washington, Melania Trump received a high-ranking visitor in Florida: the future First Lady received Queen Rania.
Queen Rania of Jordan (54) visited the future First Lady Melania Trump (54) in Palm Beach. According to media reports, the meeting in Florida, which was hosted by Donald Trump’s (78) wife on Thursday, was about issues that are close to the two women’s hearts: the well-being of children and the importance of better access to good education.
Meeting shortly before Donald Trump’s inauguration
After the visit wrote: “It was a pleasure to meet with the new First Lady of the USA, Melania Trump, in Florida yesterday.” In a picture from the two women’s conversation, Rania is wearing a dark dress, while Melania Trump shone in a sleeveless white outfit.
The meeting in Florida took place a few days before Donald Trump was officially named the 47th President of the United States of America. The successor to Joe Biden (82) will be sworn in on Monday (January 20) in Washington, DC.
Rania’s third visit to the Trumps
For Rania von Jordan and Melania Trump, it was their third official meeting. The Queen visited the White House with her husband, King Abdullah (62), in 2018 – during Donald Trump’s first term in office. After their meeting, Melania Trump said on social media at the time: “A great visit from the King and Queen of Jordan. The President and I were pleased to welcome them back to the White House.” She added: “Queen Rania and I had a frank and productive discussion about the many issues facing our countries today.”
The year before, Melania Trump and Queen Rania, both advocates of education, visited a school for girls in Washington. There they took part in a discussion with students, parents and teachers.
