Alessandra Meyer-Wölden: “That was my absolute horror scenario”

“Horror scenario”: Alessandra Meyer-Wölden’s ex-husband loves a younger woman

Alessandra Meyer-Wölden gives a rare insight into her private life and reveals that her second ex-husband is in a new relationship. Not an easy situation for the 41-year-old.

Alessandra Meyer-Wölden seems to have to digest that first. Her second ex-husband is now with a 22-year-old woman – an unpleasant situation for Meyer-Wölden, as she tells her first ex-husband Oliver Pocher in the joint podcast “The Pochers! Freshly recycled”.

Meyer-Wölden’s second marriage was to an American businessman. In March 2017 she gave birth to twins again, and at the end of 2020 she made the separation public. Together with her twin sons, she met her ex-husband and his new girlfriend. “That was my absolute horror scenario – sitting there and seeing your ex-partner show up with someone who was really only half your age,” says the 41-year-old. Although she describes the situation as “challenging” and emphasizes that she wants to learn from it, she later admits: “I just can’t get over it.”

Oliver Pocher has also already met the young woman. “And your original tone was: ‘I met your ex-husband and the model,” recalls Meyer-Wölden in the current podcast episode. “The girlfriend was very pretty, there’s no other way to say that. But you’re pretty too,” Pocher adds a little later.

Alessandra Meyer-Wölden and Oliver Pocher send their sons to boarding school

But it’s not just the new girlfriend that is causing Meyer-Wölden and Pocher to talk: their sons, also twins, are now going to a golf boarding school in Marbella, Spain. Meyer-Wölden accompanied her sons to school alone – a conscious decision, as she explains: “The first few days were really hard. […] It was a good thing you weren’t there. It’s hard to believe, but Olli can also be built very close to the water. […] It was very emotional.”

At the boarding school, the boys now have to take care of their everyday lives independently: everything from doing laundry to shopping is their responsibility. They are already showing amazing entrepreneurial spirit: The twins have invested their pocket money in snacks and are now running an improvised “supermarket” in their room. According to Meyer-Wölden, they have already earned an impressive 100 euros with their business idea of selling the sweets to their classmates at “three times the price”.
