Marc Terenzi spoke openly about his condition after staying in an addiction clinic. He gets to know himself “completely new”.

Marc Terenzi (46) spoke about his new beginning after his nine-week stay in a Berlin rehab clinic last summer. The singer, who currently lives in Mallorca, explains that he will no longer make music for the time being. “That will definitely happen again one day. But then a completely new type of music. I’m a different Marc now too.”

Marc Terenzi: “I feel myself”

Terenzi says he is currently getting to know himself in a completely new way and is completely free of drugs and alcohol for the first time in decades. He feels himself and suddenly feels “real feelings” that he can also talk about. This is nice, but also hard and he first has to learn to deal with it. The nature and peace on the island would help him, as the singer continues.

Most recently, Terenzi, who was married to Sarah Connor (44) from 2004 to 2010 and has two children with her, was plagued by financial difficulties and a difficult separation from Verena Kerth (43). The fact that the former member of the boy band Natural struggled with drugs and alcohol in his life also has to do with some setbacks and problems in the past. Doctors diagnosed him with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at a young age, “which wasn’t really researched back then,” says the reality TV participant. As a “kind of guinea pig,” Terenzi was then treated with medication and drugs. At the time, no one saw the impact on his later life.

The death of his mother in 2017 was also a serious blow of fate. “My mom was my anchor,” says Terenzi. “Unfortunately, she developed Alzheimer’s at an early age. She spent her last years in a home and I visited her regularly.” He has no contact with his father, even though he would like to see them again soon. “But only when I can say: Dad, I did it.”
