Javier Milei participates in Trump’s inauguration ceremony in the United States
The president Javier Milei will participate today in the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States, which will take place at the Capitol located in Washington DC.
Milei will be accompanied by his sister and Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and by the Ministers of Economy and Foreign Affairs, Luis Caputo and Gerardo Werthein, respectively.
The Argentine head of state is one of the special guests at the ceremony, because Trump sees him as “a financial ally” due to the agreements he is carrying out with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni spoke about the importance of this event and maintained that what Milei is achieving is reflecting a “change of era.”
“Until not long ago our world leaders were Fidel Castro, Nicolás Maduro, Hugo Chávez and this turn of the page in international matters that Milei gave is summarized in being one of the few leaders who witnessed the inauguration. These are the airs of freedom that felt in every corner of the world,” said Adorni.
