The first Vienna Opera Ball after Richard Lugner’s death is approaching. These star guests are there.
The 67th Vienna Opera Ball will take place at the end of February, for the first time since the death of opera ball icon Richard Lugner (1932-2024). However, there will still be no shortage of star guests and a Lugner guest, whom the Austrian building lion had chosen before his death, is also said to be invited.
There will be some prominent guests in the box of the two publishers Adi Weiss and Michael Lameraner and the real estate mogul Michael Schmidt. On January 15th, the three Austrian entrepreneurs announced their first guests: top model Franziska Knuppe (50) and entertainer Bruce Darnell (67).
Princess and pop star as star guests
Now they have stepped up. They announced additional star guests for their box in the Vienna State Opera via their own. The German Princess Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein (52) and pop star Sasha (53) with his wife Julia Rontgen will join the group in the publishers’ common box with the real estate agency 3SI.
“We have a close friendship with Lilly Wittgenstein, as well as Sasha and Julia (the Opera Ball is a premiere for both of them),” said Weiss and Lameraner. “It’s nice that the two of them took extra time for this evening.”
Richard Lugner is said to have already chosen a guest
Like, among others, Richard Lugner is said to have already chosen a guest for this year’s Vienna Opera Ball before his death in August 2024. However, the name is not yet known. However, the guest will accompany Lugner’s daughter Jacqueline (31) and her husband Leo Lugner (38). In 2024, “Mörtel” attended its last Vienna Opera Ball with star guest Priscilla Presley (79). This year’s Vienna Opera Ball will take place on February 27th.
