The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) is in its third week of the payment schedule January 2025. The agency dependent on the Ministry of Human Capital, by decision of the National Government, confirmed a 2.43% increase in all family allowances, retirements and pensions for the first month of the year, including Unemployment benefit.

The increase corresponds to the inflation data for the month of November analyzed by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC). And this increase is due to the fact that the Mobility formula is governed by the Decree 274/24. Which takes as reference the Consumer Price Index (CPI) two months ago and proposes an increase in benefits and social benefits proportional to the data.

ANSES Unemployment Benefit: how much is the payment for January 2025
The Unemployment Benefit It is a pension aid that aims to benefit workers in a dependency relationship who were fired without just cause or are unemployed.
This social benefit is calculated based on the applicant’s previous income and the months worked with contributions. ANSES confirmed that the minimum amount will correspond to the 50% of the Minimum Vital and Mobile Wage (SMVM), while the maximum amount will not exceed 100% of the SMVM.
As of January 1, with the 2.43% increase, the SMVM will be updated to $286,711 for monthly workers and $1,434 per hour for daily workers. This means that the maximum that can be received for the Unemployment Benefit will be $286,711.

This social benefit granted by ANSES is available to all those workers in a dependency relationship who were dismissed without just cause, due to termination of contract or for external causes. And to be able to receive this financial aid, they must meet these requirements:
- Permanent workers: have worked at least 6 months with contributions in the last 3 years prior to dismissal or termination of the contract.
- Temporary and seasonal workers: have worked less than 12 months in the last 3 years and more than 90 days in the year prior to completion of the work.
- Construction workers: dThey must have at least eight months of work with contributions in the two years prior to dismissal or completion of work.
