Motsi Mabuse is an integral part of the dance show “Let’s Dance” – at least that’s what you’d think. In fact, it looks like she won’t be on the show’s upcoming live tour.

From 2007 to 2010 Motsi Mabuse danced across the dance floor herself, and the South African-born has been on the jury for “Let’s Dance” alongside Jorge González and Joachim Llambi for ten years now. In short: the popular dance show is almost unthinkable without Motsi. At the moment, however, it seems like fans of the show will have to get used to this thought.
According to the British magazine “The Sun”, the professional dancer is said to have signed a contract with the British version of “Let’s Dance”, “Strictly Come Dancing”. The shooting will take place at the end of the year. For Mabuse this means that she would miss the “Let’s Dance” live tour for a total of four weeks. The dancer finally decided against taking part in the tour and for a place on the jury of “Come Strictly Dancing”. “When the going got tough, she canceled the tour and signed a new contract,” an anonymous source told The Sun.

Motsi has also been a juror in the program “Strictly Come Dancing” since 2019 and evaluates the professional dancers and their celebrity partners. According to “Sun” it was important to the producers of the British format to see all the jurors of the past episodes – Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse – sitting in their chairs behind the judges’ desk in the coming season.
For Motsi Mabuse her participation in the show “Strictly Come Dancing” is twice as nice. Her sister Oti also takes part in the format. As a professional, she has been dancing on the show since 2015 and took first place in 2017 and 2018 with her dance partners, actor Kelvin Fletcher and singer Bill Bailey.
Does Motsi Mabuse stop with “Let’s Dance”?
Although the 40-year-old will not take part in the live tour of the dance format, Mabuse will certainly be sitting behind the desk as usual in the coming season of “Let’s Dance” and giving reviews for the dance couples and their choreographies. Until then, however, the fans will have to do without the likeable dancer.
