In recent months, the connection between the British Royal Family and football star David Beckham (49) seemed to have become even closer. So appointed King Charles III. As a guest at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Beckham raved highly about the British royals.

“I always get emotional when I talk about anything to do with our royal family because I’ve always been a big royalist,” the 49-year-old revealed. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player “grew up in a household that adored and loved everything to do with the royal family.”
Just a few months ago, Beckham and heir to the throne Prince William (42) made headlines when they together in London inspected two newly purchased rescue helicopters from London’s Air Ambulance Charity, which were purchased with donations.
“Over the years I have done a lot with the Prince of Wales,” Beckham explained in Davos, referring to his special relationship with the heir to the throne and son of King Charles. He was always there “when he asked me to get involved in something.” Beckham continued: “Whenever the Prince of Wales sends me a message and says, ‘You have to do this’ or ‘Be there’, it’s always a ‘yes’.”

As King Charles III. When Beckham’s mother, Sandra West, asked him to become an ambassador for his charity, she “burst into tears,” the former star footballer revealed. “She knows that my grandparents would have been proud that I played such an important role within the royal family and its charities,” Beckham said.
Victoria Beckham’s husband (50) also chatted about personal similarities with the British monarch in Switzerland. “He’s interested in bees, I’m interested in bees. He loves country life, I love country life,” he revealed.
