In 2012 Adele rented a former monastery in England and apparently had a creepy time there. Her stories chaired interested parties – now the owner defends himself.
The British singer Adele (36) literally has a frightening effect on others. In this case, on potential home buyers who are frightened by a purchase about a former rental property in southern England because of their horror stories.
The owner accused the singer of having made the property “unsalable” after she had indicated in an interview that it would have spoken there. The current owner complained that Adele’s comments “have a negative impact on future marketing efforts and still impair the reputation of the property”, as can be seen from documents that are available.
Ghosts in the former monastery?
The owner Nicholas Sutton will therefore not get rid of the villa in West Sussex, which Adele rented in 2012 for six months. At the time, the singer is said to have said in a TV interview that her stay in the former monastery, known as Lock House, was “quite scary” and provided her goosebumps.
I had previously reported that she also said that she had hired a female bodyguard for staying in the property on a 32 hectare property after hearing inexplicable noise. However, the British did not share what paranormal experiences she had in the house that was built around 1909.
The estate, which is now listed for £ 59,1 million), has seven bedrooms with a bathroom, an indoor pool, swimming pool, gym, its own tennis court and a guest house.
Because of Adeles haunted stories? Real estate should be unsalable
Sutton claimed that he had “acted actively for about 14 years to sell the property”, but only received one offer in August 2020 that was withdrawn “after learning from the alleged spook in the property that of Adele during her Lease was mentioned publicly “.
Since he has not found a buyer to this day, Sutton now wants to convert the manor house into apartments. This is evident from a building application that he submitted to the Horsham district council, reports the “Times”.
