Andie Macdowell only experienced a great emptiness than her adult children pulled out. In the meantime, she has managed to make this new phase of life the best so far, she says.
Hollywood actress Andie Macdowell (66) had to learn everyday life without her adult children. “I am now not as happy as it has been for a long time,” said Macdowell in the “Drew Barrymore Show”. “I moved to South Carolina and take care of myself really well. It took forever. Because when my children moved out, I felt a huge emptiness in my life because they were so important to me.”
MacDowell (“And greets the marmot” every day, “Four weddings and a death”) has two daughters and a son with her former husband Paul Qulley. Her youngest daughter Margaret (30) always told her that she should actually have the best time in her life, Macdowell said. But that was not the case at first. “But now it’s like that. Now I have the best time of my life.”
MacDowell is known from romantic comedies such as “And greets the marmot” and “Four weddings and a death” every day. Her daughter Margaret Quiety, who stepped into her footsteps as an actress, was most recently seen in the much praised horror film “The Substance”.
