Prince William: Royal plays football with teenagers

The fact that Prince William (42) is a big football fan is nothing new. The heir to the British throne, also president of the English Football Association (FA), proved once again that he not only enjoys watching from the stands, but also kicks a ball himself. During a visit to a youth football center in Liverpool, William took the opportunity to run around the pitch with a few teenagers.

Prince William then met former Scottish footballer Sir Kenny Dalglish (73), who played for Liverpool FC for many years and who had watched William from the sidelines. The former professional footballer praised William, to which he is said to have replied: “No, not at all! I just thought: ‘Just give me the ball!’ I ran around chasing them.”

The heir to the British throne also stated that he was afraid of tearing a muscle fiber. It’s “the worst thing to do when you show up and try to play unprepared.”
