It is official: Prince Nikolaos of Greece got engaged again only a few months after his divorce.
It is official: Prince Nikolaos of Greece (55) was awarded a few months after his separation from ex -wife Princess Tatiana (44) – and even engaged. In mid-January 2025, the joint appearance of the son of the former Greek King Konstantin II (1940-2023) and his new partner ensured speculation during a commemoration on the two-year death of his father. A few days later, a spokeswoman confirmed to the engagement of the 55-year-old with his new partner Chrysi Vardinoyannis.
Some details about the wedding are already known: According to this, Nikolaos of Greece and his partner will say yes in the Greek capital Athens. An exact wedding date has not yet been announced. The prince is said to have chosen his older brother, Pavlos of Greece (57).
Prince and Chrysi Vardinoyannis are said to have been friends for several years. As early as August 2024, she accompanied him to the wedding of his sister Princess Theodora (41) in Athens.
Divorced only last year
Nikolaos of Greece is the third child of the former King Konstantin II of Greece and his wife Anne-Marie von Denmark (78). He was born in Rome in 1969, where his family had lived in exile since December 1967. In 1974 the family moved to England. In August 2020 he married the Venezuelanian Tatiana Blatnik on the Greek island of Spetses, and the divorce followed in 2024.
In December 2024 it became known that King Konstantin II’s descendants applied for Greek citizenship 50 years after the abolition of the monarchy in Greece and officially recognized the country’s republican government system, including Nikolaos. In addition, as a compromise, they accepted the last name “de Grecce” (“from Greece” in French).
