Scary news for fans: Sebastian Deyle had to be transported from the set of his new project by rescue workers.

Sebastian Deyle (47) suffered severe renal colic on the set of his new series last Tuesday. The actor reported this later. At this point, the procedure in which a kidney stone was removed had only been two hours ago.

“Unfortunately, I collapsed on set while filming,” reports the TV star from his hospital bed and in his surgical gown. Rescue workers then immediately took him to Lichterfelde Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Renal colic, usually caused by kidney stones, can be life-threatening. If the stones block the ureter, there is a risk of dangerous urinary retention, which can seriously damage the organ.

Fortunately, Sebastian Deyle was able to successfully remove the stone – which he calls his “little bad boy”. He is optimistic that he wants to return to filming next week. “Now I’m going to get some sleep and then hopefully I’ll be back on the road from Monday without spare parts and in my old spirit,” said the 47-year-old.

From December 2023 to November 2024, Deyle starred in the ARD series “Rote Rosen”. Since last September he has been filming for the new Sat.1 early evening series “Frieda – With Fire and Flame” in Saxon Switzerland. In it he plays the main role of firefighter Mirko Renic, who is closer to the eponymous role of Frieda. The single-parent intensive care nurse is played by Laura Lippmann (35).

An exact start date for the series is not yet known. The broadcaster announced the 81 episodes “from spring 2025 at 6 p.m.”
