Anna Heiser is open about her marital problems. Couples therapy already seems to be helping her and her husband Gerald.
Anna Heiser (34) has set herself the goal this year of saving her marriage to Gerald (39). The “Bauer sucht Frau” couple has been taking therapy sessions for a few weeks – and they already seem to be having an initial effect. In any case, the mother of two gives a hopeful-sounding relationship update.
Communication in focus
“It feels like we’re slowly finding our way back to each other – like we’re on the path to playing on the same team instead of against each other,” she wrote in a lengthy statement. It wasn’t an easy time for them and she often had the feeling that they were both moving further and further away from each other. “But the therapy sessions, as difficult as they are, make us take a closer look. They show us how important it is to notice each other, to be considerate and to really understand the other person.”
The couple has not yet reached their destination. There are still challenging days and moments “in which it is difficult to leave old patterns behind.” But they would try it step by step. “And the most important thing: We learn not just to talk, but to really communicate with each other. To communicate honestly, to listen and to be there for each other again.” It’s a process, but “I feel that we are on the right path – and this feeling gives me hope.”
Anna Heiser published a picture of both of them lying on the grass. He then leans over her and she laughs at him. “This photo is older, but even though it’s not current, I like it because it shows us in a moment when we were very close to each other.” This is exactly the feeling she wants to preserve. “That’s what we’re working towards right now.”
Married since 2018
Anna and Gerald Heiser met and fell in love in 2017 on “Bauer sucht Frau”. She moved to his farm in Namibia. The wedding followed in 2018. Her son was born in January 2021 and a daughter in November 2022.
In December 2024, the 34-year-old made her marital problems public on Instagram. She later emphasized: “Until December 2025, I will do everything in my power to save our relationship and our home. After that, I will have to make a decision.”
