Tom Brady: finally time for family after career end?

Tom Brady has officially retired. The American football superstar wants to focus on other things in the future.

After rumors about his retirement, Tom Brady (44) has now officially announced that he will end his career. The American football superstar: “I’ve loved my NFL career, but now it’s time to focus my time and energy on other things that need my attention.” US media had already reported in the past few days about a possible end of the professional athlete.

With these other things, Brady probably means his family in particular, whom he thanks in addition to his teammates, his coaches or the fans. “You are my inspiration,” he writes to his wife and children. Brady has been married to supermodel Gisele Bundchen (41) since 2009 and they have two children together. He also has a son from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan (50).

Tom Brady’s family is his ‘biggest achievement’

The multiple record holder describes his family as his “greatest success”. His wife gave everything so that he could focus on his career. Her selflessness has allowed Brady to reach unprecedented heights professionally. He couldn’t find the words to express how much Bundchen means to him and to all of them.

Brady has previously indicated that he wants to spend more time with the family. Speaking on his Let’s Go podcast, he said: “You [Gisele, Anm. d. Red.] deserves what she needs from me as a husband. And my children deserve what they need from me as a father.”

Tom Brady is considered the most successful American football player in the history of the sport. He secured six of his seven Super Bowl victories with the New England Patriots. He triumphed again in 2021 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
