Renée Zellweger and Hugh Grant enchanted at the Paris premiere of the new “Bridget Jones” film in elegant outfits.
The stars of the “Bridget Jones” film series have reunited themselves for the premiere of the fourth film in Paris. Renée Zellweger (55) and Hugh Grant (64) appeared on Monday evening for the presentation of “Bridget Jones: Mad about the Boy” in the French capital – both in elegant black.
Zellweger, who has embodied the lovable, tapping bridget for over 20 years, enchanted in a one-shoulder leader that brought out her silhouette perfectly. The dress captivated with an artistically frayed neckline that pulled diagonally over one shoulder from under her arm. The Oscar winner had styled her ash blonde hair for a classic updo. Black stilettos completed the glamorous look.
Small accident before the premiere?
A detail in the otherwise flawless appearance caught the eye: the actress wore a plaster on her finger – apparently she had slightly injured shortly before the event. , this did not detract from your good mood.
Her film partner Hugh Grant, who can once again be seen as a charming heavy slicer Daniel Cleaver, presented himself elegantly. The British actor chose a classic black suit, which he combined with a bright white shirt and shiny black leather shoes.
Dramatic turn for Bridget
The fourth part of the popular series promises to be emotional: After Bridget finally found her happy ending with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth, 64) in the last film, the story is now taking a tragic turn. As in the book template by Helen Fielding (66), Mark dies as a human rights attorney in the event of a mission abroad. The story begins four years after this drastic event.
The trailer already reveals: Bridget’s friends try to bring the now single mother back to dating life. The balancing act between career and childcare is also discussed – including the typical British comedy elements for which the series is known.
The “Bridget Jones” films are among the most successful romantic comedies in film history. The first part “Bridget Jones – Chocolate for Breakfast” came to cinemas in 2001. This was followed by “Bridget Jones – on the edge of madness” (2004) and “Bridget Jones’ Baby” (2016).
