A US court again deals with Prince Harry’s entry visa to the USA. It is the first time since Donald Trump took office.
The visa dispute around Prince Harry (40) is dramatic. , on February 5, a Federal Supreme Court in Washington DC will be dealing with the question of whether the Duke of Sussex has given false information about his drug use on his entrance to his drug use on February 5.
The conservative US thinking factory Heritage Foundation is trying to make Harry’s immigration files public with a lawsuit. Judge Carl J. Nichols ordered a meeting between the lawyers of the foundation and the Ministry of Homeland.
Donald Trump with a clear announcement
US President Donald Trump was already unmistakable in the matter. “I wouldn’t protect him,” Trump explained to the British “Sunday Express”. Compared to the TV station “GB News”, he even indicated a possible deportation of the royal if he lied to his visa information.
The explosive situation was created by Harry’s own statements in his autobiography “Spare” (2023). In it the son of King Charles III. (76) openly about his earlier consumption of cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic drugs. When applying for a US visa, however, drug use must be specified – incorrect information can lead to deportation.
Heritage Foundation increases the pressure
“Donald Trump introduces a new era of strict border controls. Prince Harry has to be fully accounted for because he has granted illegal drug use,” emphasizes Nile Gardiner, director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom of the Heritage Foundation, opposite the “New York Post” . The organization wants to move Trump to release Harry’s immigration files.
A lot is at stake for the Duke of Sussex. He has lived with his wife Meghan (43) and the children together in Montecito, California since 2020. If the files are publicly and false information, he could lose his new life in the United States – despite his American wife and the two children with double citizenship.
The case also highlights the political dimension of the matter. While the bid administration has so far kept the files under lock and key, President Trump could mix the cards again. The Heritage Foundation now sees new opportunities under the changed political signs after a first dismissal in September.
