Madonna has long supported the struggle for the rights of LGBTQ+people. Many now see these rights endangered in the United States – including the pop icon. But it also calls to continue fighting.
Madonna has complained about the rights of LGBTQ+people under the new US President Donald Trump. “It is so sad to see how our new government is slowly breaking down all the freedoms for which we fought for years and that we fought,” wrote the US pop star (66) on the X. -Emoji and one that represents a broken heart.
“Don’t stop fighting,” added the “Queen of Pop”. She posted a photo of herself by looking at the camera seriously. Madonna (“Like a Virgin”) has been a gay icon for decades and is committed to the rights of LGBTQ+personnel.
Trump-Erlass restrict the rights of trans people
Trump has signed several decrees since he took office last week, which restrict the rights of trans people. It was determined that the United States’ policy assumes that there will only be two genders – “male and female”. Another decree could in fact lead to the exclusion of transgender people from the armed forces. In addition, it was agreed that gender treatments in minors will not be supported, financed or promoted by the state in the future.
The English abbreviation LGBTQ+ stands for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans- and queer people.
