In terms of technology, no significant changes are observed.
Non -plug -in hybrids (HEV) are still predominant, with 86% of the marketwhile the Mild Hybrid (MHEV) represents 9% and pure electric (BEV) 4%. In the last year, the growth trend is maintained in which the volume is mainly promoted by the HEV units, by the two models from Mercosur (Brazil).
HEV motorization vehicles are the ones that support the figures of recent years. While his participation lost some place in the total, they still represent the bulk of the patents.
If post-pandemic figures are observed, it is noted that in 2021 6,157 were patented cars Units and non -plug -in hybrids represented 94%. In 2022 of the 7,906 0km vehicles that were sold, 92% corresponded to Hev technology, while a year later, patents climbed up to 9,558 units, of which 86% had this technology.
Finally, in 2024, that proportion remained, since of the 14,175 vehicles that were patented, 12,132 were Hev (86%).
As for the number of models on offer, in recent years we observe that, despite the import restrictions that the market had until 2023, they always remained on the rise.
The brands incorporated these new technologies into their offer in a sustained way. In 2021, the offer was made up of 37 models of 16 different brands (12 Bev, 15 Hev and 9 MHEV). In 2023, that same offer was already 61 models (18 BEV, 15 hev, 20 MHEV and 11 PHEV) and last year we had a total of 80 models of 27 brands (26 BEV, 18 Hev, 31 MHEV and 11 PHEV) . 1in Figure 3 shows the evolution of the composition of the offer by type of technology, in number of models
In terms of the technologies for which brands are betting in this process of incorporating electric variants to the offer, It is observed that of the 27 brands that participate today, 23 have pure electric vehicles (BEV), 8 participate with pure hybrid vehicles (HEV), 12 have MHEV versions and 10 bet on plug -in hybrid vehicles (PHEV).
Beyond the offer that each brand maintains, in each segment the concentration of sales is high. For example, only 6 of those offered by 100% electric vehicles represent 90% of the total sales of that segment. (In% of the total) in the case of the most voluminous technology (HEV), the concentration is much higher. 91% of segment sales respond to a single brand.
In the case of MHEV vehicles, 93% of the patents during 2024 corresponds to only 2 brands and in the case of plug -in hybrids (PHEV), that percentage is reached with sales of 6 brands
