For many, the Cologne Zoo belongs to the city like the cathedral and the beer in small glasses. A well-known film investigator also sees a good backdrop for a thriller in the zoo.
The Cologne “Tatort” star Dietmar Bär (63) would like to make a film in the cathedral city zoo. The zoo is a great place in Cologne, which both he and many Cologneers would combine with the city. This was said by Bär, who is investigating as a “crime scene” commissioner Freddy Schenk am Rhein, on the edge of an event in Brussels. “You could certainly tell a good crime story again.” For example, in the world of the zookeepers, he added. “I think that would still be an incentive for authors.”
In more than 90 “crime scene” films, Commissioner Schenk and his colleague Max Ballauf (Klaus J. Behrendt) have dealt with murder cases and crime since the late 1990s. He would find the location zoo exciting, said Bär. “We still have a few topics open – that would be one.”
