Taylor Swift will hand over an award for the Grammys 2025. The singer was already on stage as a presenter in 2008 and 2009.
Special task for superstar Taylor Swift (35): She will be on stage as a presenter at this year’s Grammy Awards. This was confirmed by the Recording Academy on Thursday evening. For the singer, it is already the third appearance in this role in the prestigious award ceremony.
According to US media reports, Swift had her first appearance as a Grammy presenter in 2008 when she presented Rihanna (36) and Jay-Z (55) for the best collaboration for “umbrella”. A year later she was on stage together with Miley Cyrus (32) and announced Alison Krauss (53) and Robert Plant (76) as the winner. The winner of which category the 35-year-old announced this year on the Grammy stage has not yet been announced.
Chance of historical victory
Taylor Swift is nominated for six awards at this year’s award. The singer could write history with a win in the “Album of the Year” division – it would be her fifth triumph in this prestigious category. Her colleague Beyoncé (43) is the leader this year with eleven nominations.
Star contingent for the big show
It is not yet known whether Taylor Swift will also appear in addition to her role as a presenter. However, the recording academy has already confirmed an impressive list of artists that will perform live – including Billie Eilish (23), Charli XCX (32), Sabrina Carpenter (25) and Shakira (47).
The Grammy Awards as the most important US music award have been awarded in a total of 91 categories since 1959. This year the award will take place on February 2 in Los Angeles. Music was taken into account for the Grammys 2025, which was published between September 16, 2023 and August 30, 2024.
