Disease -related concert break ended

Just a week after Sting had to cancel three appearances, he delivered a powerful comeback at the “Fireaid” beefiz concert.

The British singer had to take a medically arranged break about a week ago because of a illness. On Thursday evening (January 30), however, Sting (73) was already behind the microphone. At the “Fireaid” beefiz concert, with which money was collected for the victims of the fires in California and for future fire prevention, he seemed to be in top shape again.

His appearance was a surprise for many after moving three appointments because of one, as he called it in a “temporary sore inflammation”. Sing’s voice is said to have been powerful again during his set of three songs.

Surprise appearance after short -term concert statement

Around a week before the donation concert, worrying messages were published: As his management announced via Instagram, Sting had to postpone several planned appearances in the course of an urgent medical recommendation for health reasons. These include the awarding of the “Bass Magazine Awards”, where he should be honored with a lifetime Achievement Award for his life’s work.

Sting, who performed with drummer Chris Maas and guitarist Dominic Miller at “Fireaid”, chose songs, like many of the 27 artists of the five -hour concert. These were specially intended for the victims of the terrible fires, which spread in the Los Angeles district in January, demanded many fatalities and destroyed more than 22,000 houses.

The Brit opened his appearance with the 1979 hit by his former band The Police “Message in A Bottle”. This was followed by “Driven to Tears” from 1980. For the last song, Sting then exchanged bass for guitar to play “Fragile” from his second solo album “Nothing Like the Sun” (1987).

Fancy appearances are made up for

In the Instagram contribution of his management, replacement concerts were also promised: “The fans should keep their tickets for the postponed shows, as they are valid for the new dates.” The concert in the US city of Phoenix will be made up for on June 1, the appearance in Wheatland on May 28th.
