Gavin Rossdale: Children support him after his mother’s death

For musicians Gavin Rossdale (59), 2025 begins with a private stroke. His beloved mother Barbara died.

The front man of the band Bush announced this on his Instagram page at the weekend. “Tuesday, January 28th, at 5 p.m. I lost my mom. After a long, agonizing fight, she left us,” he wrote about several pictures of the deceased. “It is difficult to put the bond that we had and the gap she leaves into words,” he said. The world now feels more lonely. “I know that she is always with me, because that’s how it is with love and loss. We carry those in us that we love but cannot see.” That is his consolation.

He will certainly find consolation in the support of his family and friends. “Ah gavin, I’m so sorry, I send you greetings, Jamie,” wrote his buddy, TV chef Jamie Oliver (49). Daughter Daisy Lowe (36) sent a series of heart emojis. Rossdales girlfriend Xhoana X (40) also spoke up: “She loved you so much. She went to everyone who loved. Strong and spirited to the end.” His eldest son Kingston (18) shared his father’s contribution on social media and emphasized: “Will love you forever.”

Gavin Rossdale was married to singer Gwen Stefani (55) from 2022 to 2016. In addition to Kingston, they also have the sons Zuma (16) and Apollo (10) together. Daughter Daisy comes from an earlier relationship with singer-songwriter Pearl Lowe (54). In 2027 he had a liaison with the German moderator Sophia Thomalla (35). He has been with the Albanian singer Xhoana (40) for around a year. The rock star confirmed the relationship in March 2024 with an Instagram post. In November the couple visited the MTV European Music Awards in Manchester.
