Princess Kate wants to promote emotional skills of her fellow citizens

Princess Kate wants to help people get along better with the challenges of the world. Above all, she wants to strengthen the emotional competence of children.

Princess Kate wants to strengthen the social and emotional skills of her fellow human beings in Great Britain. Modern life sometimes ensures that many people felt isolated and vulnerable in difficult times, the wife of heir to the throne Prince William wrote in a report by the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood Foundation. This leads to psychological problems, addiction and abuse, which is devastating for those affected and also society.

According to Kate, the solution is to develop and maintain a number of social and emotional skills. “We have to invest in people,” wrote the princess in the foreword to the report. The goal is a happier and healthier community. “Let’s build a more loving, more empathetic and compassionate society together.”

Princess Kate returns to the public

In 2023, Kate launched the “Shaping Us” campaign (“Form to us”) in order to sensitize the public to the importance of the first five years of a child. A framework plan based on it is now intended to serve organizations as a guide in order to be able to attach a higher priority to social and emotion competence, especially in childhood development, but also in later life.

The framework plan is intended to offer easy access to speak across a total of 30 of these skills and thus reach a wide audience. These skills are divided into six areas: to know yourself, to control your emotions, to focus your thoughts, and to communicate with others, to maintain relationships and to discover the world.

Princess Kate is currently gradually returning to the public after her cancer treatment without neglecting her own relaxation. On Tuesday, she wants to open an interactive learning project for children in an art museum.
