The Grammy Awards 2025 were all about Beyoncé: she won the main prize of the evening.
In the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, superstar Beyoncé (43) cleared the most important price of the evening. The 43-year-old won “Cowboy Carter” not only in the royal category “Album of the Year”, but was also awarded the “Best Country Album” division. She also won a Grammy in another country category – for her duet “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus (32).
Kendrick Lamar clears off
Another big winner of the evening was Kendrick Lamar (37). The rapper, who was honored a week before his planned Super Bowl appearance at the Grammys, won both “Song of the Year” and “Single of the Year” for his hit “Not Like Us”. He also won in the “Best rap performance” category. He dedicated his acceptance speech to the city of Los Angeles, which has been hit by devastating fires in the past few weeks.
This is the best newcomer
Chappell Roan (26), who secured the coveted prize as “best new artist”, was also able to celebrate. Sabrina Carpenter (25) was able to take home three awards, including the Grammy for the best pop singing album. Lady Gaga (38) and Bruno Mars (39) were also allowed to cheer-their duet “The With A Smile” was recognized as the best pop duo performance.
Surprise appearance
The surprising appearance of The Weeknd (34), who had boycotted the Grammys in the past, also caused a stir at the Grammy Awards. The award ceremony, which was moderated by Trevor Noah (40), was marked by the fires in Los Angeles. The organizers used the show to collect donations for the victims. The prize for the “Album of the Year” presented members of the fire brigade of Los Angeles – a special gesture of recognition for their commitment during the catastrophe.
The Grammys are considered the most important music award in the world and were awarded for the 67th time. The majority of the approximately 90 awards were already presented in Los Angeles before the big TV gala.
