A total of 24 individual artists or groups will fight for the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, as RTL and NDR announced. Raab made the pre -selection together with his team – from a stack of 3,281 applications. Some acts already have a certain fan base, others are still relatively unknown.

12 of the 24 starters are supposed to go to Germany in the opening show of “Chef’s ESC 2025 – who sings for Germany?” (Friday, February 14, 8:15 p.m., RTL) and face the jury, in which, in addition to Stefan Raab, moderator Elton and singer Yvonne Catterfeld have a permanent place.
