Fashion journalist Anna Wintour receives a special award in the Buckingham Palace. And takes for King Charles III. even their trademark during the ceremony.
“Vogue” boss Anna Wintour (75) was honored by the British royal family. King Charles III. distinguished them in London for her services to the fashion industry and recorded them in the exclusive order “Companions of Honor”. “Congratulations,” said the royal family on the platform X. Wintour also decreased its trademark – her sunglasses – during the ceremony in the Buckingham Palace, as the British news agency report reported.
The fact that Wintour should receive the honor was announced in 2023. The “Companions of Honor”, founded in 1917, honors merit of national importance and has only a few dozen members.
Wintour can already bear the title “lady”. It was wonderful to be back in the palace, said Wintour. The king asked them if they were planning to stop working. “And I decidedly said: No.”
