In the end they ate cakes: Ralf Moeller talks about the death of his mother
Actor Ralf Moeller mourns his mother. In an interview, he now reports on the last hours before her death and tells how he said goodbye.
Ralf Moeller lost his mother Ursula a few days ago. In one, the visibly moving actor has now talked about his grief and remembered the last hours before her death.
Moeller, who has lived in California for many years, had a very close relationship with his mother Ursula. He often traveled to his home country Recklinghausen, where the 88-year-old had lived in a senior residence since the death of Moeller’s father Helmut around three years ago because she was dependent on care. Ralf Moeller could see his mother again shortly before her death.
“We still sat together on Sunday, I still brought cakes with me, a cherry sprinkled that she ate with delight,” said Moeller. Shortly afterwards she came into the emergency room. Her condition deteriorated and a few days later Moeller was informed about the death of his mother.

“Then in the morning at three, half past three, I saw the news that she died,” he said. A few hours earlier he was with her again. “I took my personal farewell, so that means I held her hand and spoke to her – about life about what she did about.” He “said goodbye to the case … and he came up an hour or two later”.
“And then of course you break out in tears at times,” said Moeller. “That comes over at once.” One has to understand that “the person who has accompanied you for 66 years is no longer there”. In his opinion, it is very important to speak to other people to process grief: “It is always good if you have friends or people with whom you can talk about. You don’t have to hide your feelings.”

Moeller had recently shared a common picture of him and his laughing mother on Instagram. “This morning you left my beloved mother from us, at the age of 88,” he wrote. “Next week, on February 14th, your birthday would have been. I thank you for all the love and security you gave me and all the others.” The birthday party was already organized, but on this day the funeral should now take place. The actor then wanted to trigger his mother Ursula and the many memories.
