The Alpine adventures of “Heidi” know children around the world. A new film adaptation will soon come to TV.
It is a classic of children’s book literature: RTL brings “Heidi” back to television. The planned television series around the orphan girl, who grows in the grandfather in the Swiss mountains, is intended to preserve the historical context of the 145 -year -old story, as RTL and the Swiss broadcaster SRF announced. The co -production of the two channels is broadcast in Germany and Switzerland. In contrast to the known cartoon series broadcast from 1974, the new TV project shows real actors.
“We put up with the classic story and also tell the development of a girl to the young woman: a modern adaptation that makes both the magic of the Swiss mountains and Heidi’s moving way of life,” said Hauke Bartel, Head of Fiction at RTL Germany . According to RTL, it is a real film. The broadcasters initially not announced any further details of the production.
Worldwide successful children’s book
The Swiss author Johanna Spyri released the first “Heidi” novel in 1880. In the book, Heidi’s arrival is told at her hermitary grandfather, on whose Alp she is supposed to live in the future. The sequel “Heidi’s teaching and hiking years” followed “Heidi can need what it has learned”.
The story of Heidi was translated into more than 70 languages and filmed several times. Adaptions appeared in Great Britain, the USA and Japan.
