The Swiss author Johanna Spyri released the first “Heidi” novel in 1880. In the book, Heidi’s arrival is told at her hermitary grandfather, on whose Alp she is supposed to live in the future. The sequel “Heidi’s teaching and hiking years” followed “Heidi can need what it has learned”.

The story of Heidi was translated into more than 70 languages ​​and filmed several times. Adaptions appeared in Great Britain, the USA and Japan.
