With their three sons on the red carpet

Zoe Saldana took her three sons to award the American Riviera Awards at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Zoe Saldana (46) converted a significant moment of her career into a family matter. The actress was awarded the American Riviera Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival – and had her three sons by her side.

The 46-year-old appeared accompanied by her ten-year-old twins Cy and Bowie and her eight-year-old son Zen on the red carpet of the Arlington Theater. The three guys, which Saldana has together with her husband Marco Perego (45), with whom she has been married for eleven years, experienced up close how her mother was honored for her “outstanding achievements in American film”.

Glossy appearance in black

At the award ceremony, the “Avatar” star appeared in a sleeveless, black glitter dress. The American’s hair was braided into a long braid, as accessories she chose striking diamond earrings and several rings. Black top pumps completed the elegant look. Active colleague Rob Lowe (60), who presented Saldana the price, also posed with her on the red carpet.

The artist’s three sons wore a partner look consisting of dark suits to white shirts. Two combined white sneakers, one was wearing black shoes.

First Oscar nomination for “Emilia Pérez”

The award is an extremely successful award season for Saldana. For her role as Rita in “Emilia Pérez” she has already been awarded a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award. Now she has also been nominated for an Oscar for the first time. The film, in which the Frenchman Jacques Audiad (72) directed, goes to the Oscar race with a total of 13 nominations.

Saldana revealed on stage at a question and answer session during the festival how she came to the role: “We had this conversation and I only heard Jacques Audiard and said immediately: ‘Yes! Yes!'”, She recalled. “They then told me about this drug boss, who should always be a woman and that they hire a professional lawyer – that would be me – to help him with the transition.” It was only later told that this would be a musical in Spanish.
