Draven Bennington, child of the late Linkin Park singer Chester, has announced in an emotional posting that it was transgender.
Draven Bennington is 22 years old and child of the Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who died in 2017 and his ex-wife Samantha Bennington. On Valentine’s Day, Draven Bennington has now announced that it was a new chapter of life: Bennington, born as a man, is currently in the process of gender transition. Bennington on Instagram now indicates her pronouns with “you/her”.
Bennington writes in the post: “For a long time I tried to be someone who was not internally. Ignore it, worked for a while. But always coming to the crossroads, either being happy or please – I couldn’t make this decision anymore. “

Draven Bennington: “Best decision of my life”
Bennington also announced: “In August last year I decided to go the path of happiness and stay true to myself,” continued the artist and TV personality. “I had my coming out as a transgender and started hormone replacement therapy, and that was the best decision I have ever made in my life.”
Bennington can rely on the support of friends and family, she continues, especially from her mother. “I love everyone of you who has given me nothing but love and respect and sees me as I really am,” she thanks. “With all the support and love I have received, I developed the strength to love myself.
