Pop icon Kylie Minogue will perform around the globe until August: at the start of her mega world tour, the Australian is showered with praise. Germany is also on the program.
The Australian pop queen Kylie Minogue will be showered with praise hymns at home at the start of its excited “tension” world tour at home. The media and fans cheered that the first concert in the RAC Arena in Perth on the west coast at the weekend was “sensational” and spoke of a “breathtaking performance”. In June and July, the 56-year-old is also for three concerts in Germany: in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart.
It has been the largest tour of the superstar for more than ten years: by August, the singer has completed around 70 concerts around the world. “Kylies hit-filled setlist mixed fresh material with popular classics and ensured that fans of all years got their money’s worth,” enthused the music magazine “Rolling Stone”. The palette ranged from “The Loco-Motion” to “I Should be so Lucky” and “Where the Wild Roses Grow” to the Grammy-crowned hit “Padam Padam”.
Media also praised the “impressive visuals” including glamorous stage outfits, huge video screens and a performance in a floating laser cage in a diamond shape. Further stations to Australia include Bangkok, Tokyo, Toronto and New York before touring in Europe from May and then traveling to South America.
New wave of success thanks to dance earworm
Minogue, the most successful singer in her home country with more than 80 million records, swims more than 35 years after the start of her music career on a new wave of success – thanks to her 16th studio album “Tension” with the “Padam Padam” earwig and that in October publish follow-up album “Tension II”. Minogue, who is also known as an actress, presented her first album “Kylie” in 1988. She has been seen in her first Las Vegas show since November 2023.
