Last Sunday, the Police of Miami Beach arrested a Mordechai Brafman, 27, accused of shoot two people in the 4800 block of Pine Tree drive.
According to the police report, Brafman was captured in video driving his vehicle south by Pine Road, making a U -turn on 48th Street and stopping in front of the victims’ vehicle. Subsequently, he left his car and fired 17 times against the victims’ vehicle, wounding one on the left shoulder and the other on the left forearm.
After the incident, Brafman was arrested in the 4887 of Pine Tree Drive. During the interrogation, he spontaneously declared that He had shot at two Palestinians, believing to have killed them. Currently, he faces two positions of second degree murder attempt.
This incident adds to other recent violent events in Miami Beach. For example, in October 2024, two young Cubans were arrested for shooting at two people in Hialeah, facing positions of murder attempt.
In addition, a 19 -year -old was arrested for allegedly shooting and hurting a person in Miami Beach. These events occurred in February 2024, highlight the importance of recent government initiatives, such as Decree 103/2025, which seeks to strengthen the operational capacity of security forces by reuse of confiscated weapons, with the aim of improving public security and optimize state resources.
