Without the presence of Prince William and Princess Kate, but with plenty of Hollywood glamor, the awarding of this year’s BAFTAs took place in London.
The Vatican thriller “Conclave” and the drama “of the brutalist” have dominated the awarding of the British BAFTA film prices with four awards. “Conclave” was awarded the best film at the gala on Sunday evening in London. “The brutalist” won the directing price, and main actor Adrien Brody was honored as the best actor. The musical thriller “Emilia Pérez” had to be satisfied with two BAFTAS, including a trophy for Zoe Saldaña as the best supporting actress. Actress Mikey Madison and actor Kieran Culkin were also able to look forward to a prize.
Prince William and Princess Kate canceled for the BAFTAS
Numerous stars like actress Demi Moore, Frauenwarm Timothée Chalamet or singer Selena Gomez frolicked on the red carpet. Prince William and his wife Princess Kate, on the other hand, did not show up at the event. The couple had regularly visited the award in recent years, after all, William is President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. However, William and Kate are said to have canceled for an understandable reason: With their children they probably spend the holidays on the Caribbean island of Mustique. Prince William had recorded a message in advance to honor the nominees in the “Rising Star Award” category. The British actor David Jonsson received the trophy.
