Florencia Peña broke down listening to the story of Fernán Mirás when he suffered an aneurysm

And Mirás agreed: “Yes, we still had another week of performances to go and after three weeks I started directing a film with Natalia Oreiro, so I was in full swing. And he gave me a headache… I was calm and I had a tremendous and very strong headache. I could hardly move, but I decided not to take anything. I said, ‘This is so weird,’ because I’ve never had such a headache. So, I called the doctor and they took me in the ambulance and they operated on me.”

“I don’t know if technically it can be said that I had an aneurysm, because an aneurysm is something you have even if you don’t know it, it’s like a balloon in an artery. And what happened in my case is that it exploded and my brain filled with blood, “explained the actor. And he explained: “At that time I wasn’t scared, because I went through the operating room many times: I had surgery at 15 years of peritonitis, gallbladder… I go and have surgery. Once I told my partner: ‘I’m in the hospital, I have surgery tomorrow, but don’t come, come tomorrow morning’. It is that Santi, my son, was months old. But well, the truth is that I am not afraid of the sanatorium”.

“I’m going to tell you what happened on this side. First, you are someone very loved by those who know you and by the people. It was strange that it happened to you, because you are not someone who appears very stressed, you are a healthy guy… There was a lot of silence, because you are a low-profile guy… I called him Pablo [Echarri] and I asked him what was happening, ”said the actress. “What happened is that it became public very quickly and I had no idea about it. There was a moment, I think the next day or the same day, I almost don’t remember because I was a little asshole, when Pablo told me that there was a lot of noise. He told me: ‘If you want, I’ll say something and if you don’t want to, I won’t say anything.’ And it seemed to me that it was good for me to speak, to tell what my situation was.”

“When you arrived at the sanatorium, did the doctor already know what you had? Did you more or less sense it?” Flor wanted to know. “Yes, they sensed it. They did a study on me and told me: ‘You have this, this and this. We are going to operate on your head, so say hi to your loved ones.’” Then, the driver insisted: “Stop, there you can’t tell me that she didn’t scare you.”

“The shit of my life! I said: ‘Let’s see if Flor is putting…’. I was lucid and I wasn’t afraid of dying, because for me it’s a myth that we die. Others die, but I know I don’t,” he joked. And, more seriously, he recalled: “I sent messages to my children – if I talk about it I cry – and I said to myself: ‘It’s now’. And once I did that, I told the doctors to operate on me because my head hurt a lot… And I got rid of it, ”he continued, excited.

“I put myself in your place and it’s tremendous,” Florence said, holding back her tears.

“Did your children answer you?” Flor asked about the reaction of Santiago, Sofía and Sebastián.

On the verge of bursting into tears, Fernán Mirás acknowledged: “No, because I left them a WhatsApp in case… (he dies)”.

“If I felt that it was not the time to die? I felt that there was not much to do. You are in the hands of the doctors,” concluded Fernán Mirás.
