Although she became known for a casting show herself, Nadja Benaissa wishes for her daughter a different way.

Nadja Benaissa (42) became known throughout Germany in 2000 thanks to the casting show “Popstars” with the Girlgroup No Angels. For her 25 -year -old daughter, the singer apparently wishes a different way: she advised her to take part in a casting show a few years ago. Benaissa revealed this in a new episode of the “NDR Talk Show”, which will be broadcast on Friday evening.

“When she was young people at the age of 14, 15, she asked me. There was ‘The Voice Kids’ new,” explains Benaissa according to the preliminary announcement. “I told her that you don’t go there.” She believes that her daughter is grateful for this advice today. She did not want to demonize casting shows and was “super grateful” for the way that “pop stars” paved her herself. “But I think that’s not for everyone, that can also backfire.”

“Was partly a terrible mother”

Benaissa also looks back on her mother’s existence in conversation. Despite all the adversities in her life, she sees herself as a good mother and knew that her daughter would say that too, but admits: “Of course I was also a very terrible mother and made mistakes in my life.”

In the past few years she has managed to calm down. “I discovered a serenity and gratitude in my life, which I didn’t know before,” says the musician. “I was always restless, restless, restless and full of worries and could really transform it.” In the meantime, she has a completely new bond with her daughter: “She also lives with me again, although she is very grown up and for both of us it is as if we are catching up for the lost time together again.”

Nadja Benaissa lived through difficult times

Nadja Benaissa became the mother of her daughter at the age of 16. In 2001 she made her public in an interview to have been addicted to her pregnancy at the age of 14. However, she did not drink alcohol or consumed drugs during pregnancy. Prevention examinations during pregnancy diagnosed an HIV infection in the then 16-year-old.

In 2010, she was sentenced to a prison for two years to be a prison sentence of two years for probation and 300 working hours in an AIDS facility because they were said to have had unprotected sex with men who knew nothing about their infection. Benaissa now openly explains about HIV and sensitization of alcohol and drug search diseases. Since the end of 2022 she has even worked as a Health Coach.
