As a child, she was seriously ill – now she is a doctor and new “Miss Germany”

No more bikinis, but the sash remains: in the freestyle of the new “Miss Germany” for the first time the audience has the last word. The choice falls on the doctor Valentina Busik.

In her last application speech for the title of “Miss Germany”, Valentina Busik takes care of a barely known technical term for frowns in the hall – and quickly dissolves: It is about age warts. But patients often do not understand that, maybe even if they even get afraid, would have stress. “Just because I speak medically,” said the dermatologist from Gießen. As a child, she was seriously ill. This made it mature in her to study medicine. “As a five -year -old girl, I was about to be kidney failure and since then I only wanted to become one – doctor. And now I am and I love to operate,” she said.

The 27-year-old not only wants to heal people, but also revolutionize medicine. Busik clubs innovative technology with human care, it was said by the organizers. As a clinician, she often only has 15 minutes to tell patients a cancer diagnosis. With the help of artificial intelligence, she developed an avatar that explains patients diagnoses, treatments and operations – at adapted speed and in different languages. “I am a doctor in one of the richest countries in the world, with technology like in a spaceship,” said Busik. Communication can often be improved.

With her mission, Busik has become the new “Miss Germany”. She prevailed against eight finalists in the Europa-Park in Rust near Freiburg. Now she wants to advance digitization in healthcare, she announced. Every day, hundreds of thousands of patients left medical practices with more questions than before. She wanted to work for everyone to get answers. The avatar can explain diagnoses, treatments and operations in detail and in simple language, and the day and night.

Under the leadership of Max Klemmer, who stepped into the footsteps of his father and grandfather, the Miss Germany Studios has renamed the former beauty competition in recent years. It is no longer about catwalk appearances in the bikini, but about women who want to make a difference. This time the focus was on the topic of business and women in the world of work in the world of work.

Spectators chose the new “Miss Germany”

Season 2024/25 started with more than 1000 applicants. Among the nine finalists, a room and a patent anchor made it. They competed in the categories Female Founder (founders), Female Mover (women in male -dominated occupational fields) and Female Leader (managers). Juries chose the three winners – Busik won the Mover division. From this trio, the audience – both in the hall and spectators, for example at Tikkok – was able to determine the “Miss Germany” for the first time.

The tenor at the final show quickly became clear: women can be loud, women can achieve something. And above all, they can look so much more than just good, as presenter Lola Weippert found right from the start.

The new "Miss Germany" is called Apameh Schönauer

She fled from Iran when she was six – now she is “Miss Germany”

Last year’s winner Apameh Schönauer said: “You can smile and still be taken seriously. You can be quiet and still roar.” Women made this supported by family and friends, with a lot of courage and guided by a question: “Why not?”, The architect said and gave an example: “Why not wear heels and still occupy the executive floors?”

Lola Weippert moderated the final show

Long -standing observers of the competition found that the event had become smaller over time. The final took place for the 23rd time in the Europa-Park, but in a smaller hall. Families and friends celebrated the finalists under the circus tent look. They had banners, flags, balloons and gaps with them. Because the noise level was high, moderator Weippert had to ask for calm again and again.

A lot of diligence, sweat and tears went into the preparation of the evening, said Klemmer. Nine months all had worked towards this evening. Now the event took place for the first time in the largest amusement park in Germany. Before the 100th anniversary of the 2027 competition, it should go to a larger city. The application round for season 2025/26 is already running, candidates can register for a fee of 99 euros.
