This time the Bundestag election attracted more people in front of the matt slice than four years ago. If you didn’t want to see and hear anything about politics that evening, you often ended up at Tom Cruise.
This time the television audience was significantly more interested in the federal election than in 2021. In the first watched 7.56 million viewers (25.1 percent) from 8:15 p.m. 4.02 million (13.4 percent) switched on the same broadcast in the second at the same time. There were 11.58 million – that is around one and a half million people more than was in the Bundestag election almost four years ago.
Mostly watched program of the evening was the main edition of the “Tagesschau”, which attracted 10.80 million people (35.6 percent) at 8 p.m.
The US thriller “Jack Reacher: no way back” with Tom Cruise, who wanted to see ProSieben 2.12 million (7.7 percent) from 8:15 p.m., asserted the strongest apolitical competition at the best broadcast time.
