Actor and cabaret artist Ernst Hilbich is dead. He succumbed to pneumonia shortly before his 94th birthday.
The German actor, cabaret artist and radio play spokesman Ernst H. Hilbich is dead. He died on February 20 at the age of 93, as was now known and reported. According to further reports, the bereaved have now confirmed the news.
According to this, the interpreter of the carnival song “Today ‘is a carnival in Knieritz an der Knatter” in his house in Cologne-Marienburg from the consequences of pneumonia. On March 16, he would have turned 94.
Reunited with his love
His niece Miriam Krekel is quoted with the words: “My uncle fell asleep peacefully. He actually drank a Kölsch beforehand. He never really overcome the death of my aunt, his beloved wife Lotti Krekel.” It prepares their consolation that “the two can now be together again.” The folk actress and singer Lotti Krekel died in April 2023 at the age of 81.
Hilbich had participated in numerous TV and cinema productions. In the WDR series “Die Rerrheiner” he embodied the figure Jupp Adamski and played in feature films, such as “Husting Um Trixie” with Uschi Glas (80) or in “Pediatrician Dr. Fröhlich” alongside Roy Black (1943-1991), especially in the 1970s.
