Oscars 2025: Moderator rolls out the red carpet

A few days before this year’s Oscar ceremony, the red carpet was rolled out – none other than Host Conan O’Brien (61). The talk show presenter appeared in the suit for the “Roll Out” in Hollywood and grabbed the photographer in the flash of lightning. The red carpet, over which the stars will stroll on Sunday, measures over 250 meters in length and around ten meters in width. According to the US media, O’Brien is said to have joked before the reporters, and he actually lacks muscles for this task.

O’Brien himself also shared impressions of the “Roll Out”: the 61-year-old posted a short clip in which he made it easy to make it comfortable on the famous red carpet. “T-minus three days until the Oscars,” he wrote about the video in allusion to the famous countdowns at NASA rocket starts. The fans are amused in the comments. “He is really created for this task,” wrote a user of the social media platform, while another is certain: “Oh, he loves that.”

For O’Brien it is the first moderation of the Oscars: he follows Jimmy Kimmel (57), who had already led three times through the award ceremony of the film giants. “With his brilliant humor, his love for films and his live TV expertise, he is the perfect person to lead our global film celebration,” said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang (68) in a joint statement.
