Actress Chryssanthi Kavazi talks about beauty rituals, styling tips and her soon return to “GZSZ”.
As a mother of two, Chryssanthi Kavazi (36) has little time to style. “Sometimes it has to be quick in everyday life,” explains the actress when presenting the new “Gloss Absolu” hair care series from Kérastase. “The high shoes are not being taken out so often at the moment. But I still like to travel stylish, pay attention to my looks and also very much on the fact that my hair also looks good.”
Also on her husband’s looks, acting star Tom Beck (47), the actress known from the RTL series “Good times, bad times” has an eye. “I am his best advisor,” reveals the 36-year-old and, in an interview, talks about hair-to-do, her new beauty routine and her anticipation for return to the “GZSZ” set.
You know fans primarily with their long, dark mane. Did you ever have a hairstyle or hair color that you regretted afterwards?
Chryssanthi Kavazi: At 17 I cut a pony. At that time, microponies were totally trendy and I was firmly convinced that I would be really great. What can I say, I am very ashamed of it afterwards (laughs). A look that definitely doesn’t work for me.
Would you like to try something new again?
Kavazi: Every two years it grabs me and I have the feeling that I have to do something new with my hair. I always come up with the idea that it then has to be a brighter tone and frankly, it rarely looked good for a short time. In the end, I always get my dark hair best. But yes, the impulse to try new things is always there.
Do you advise each other about hairstyling and outfits?
Kavazi: At clothes I am his best consultant and I like to do that too. With his hair I tell him every few years, he should let her grow for a long time because he is so good. Then he listens to me too. His mother always speaks something in his hair because she is a trained hairdresser.
How do you care for your hair, how long do you need for your styling every day?
Kavazi: I take an hour and a half for me once a week. During this time I bathe and always apply a hair mask and leave it on for five to ten minutes. Then I use a leave-in care and thong my hair afterwards.
When turning, the hair is always styled extensively by the team on the set. My daily routine has now become relatively fast. I wipe my hair briefly and then I work my hair oil from Kérastase, that is my absolute nonplusultra.
With two small children at home there is certainly little time to style. How has your beauty routine changed?
Kavazi: Yes, that’s right, there is not much time with two children. I take the time once a week, but sometimes it has to be quick in everyday life. That’s why I just wet briefly and if I had to wash my hair, sometimes I only wash the upper blanket. If it is no longer possible, I just make a braid.
Has her personal style also changed as a mom?
Kavazi: My hair style has not changed. As far as clothes are concerned, it must be comfortable with a little baby in everyday life. The high shoes are currently not being taken out so often. But I still like to travel stylish, pay attention to my looks and also very much on the fact that my hair also looks good. A good hair day can simply do everything and especially as a mom it is important to give yourself a good feeling and I like to do that.
Your baby break is slowly coming to an end, have you missed acting in the past few months?
Kavazi: I enjoy the time with the children very much, but I also liked it nice to have an office day in between. I was particularly able to focus on my brand Kavazi, which I released in November. But I am still an actress in my heart and I lack the work on the set. I also miss my colleagues and I can’t wait to be back on the set and play my favorite role.
When will you be seen again at “GZSZ”?
Kavazi: I’ll be back to the set this year. There is still no fixed date, but it will start again soon and I can’t wait to find out how my story will continue.
