Eight months after the end of a trial against Alec Baldwin, wife Hilaria talks about the psychological consequences for her children.

In July, the headlined “Rust” trial surprisingly ended due to negligent killing against actor Alec Baldwin (66). In the current episode of her reality show “The Baldwins”, his wife, Hilaria Baldwin (41), tells how the trial against her husband affected the whole family – especially the oldest daughter, Carmen (11).

“Do I have to say goodbye to him for a long time?”

The eleven -year -old was therefore destroyed when her dad had to go to court, reports that. “When Alec was charged for the first time, Carmen could no longer be alone in a room for months. We had to put a bed in the boys’ bedroom,” says the seven -time mother. She was very afraid of the question: “Is our family being torn apart?”

Carmen, before her father had to leave for the trial in the US state of New Mexico, asked her: “If Papa goes to New Mexico, do I have to say goodbye to him? Do I have to say goodbye to him for a long time? Should I say goodbye to him in a special way, as if I would not see him for a long time because they try to take my daddy away?” The 41-year-old shares her answer in tears: “And I said: ‘Yes, you should.'” She explains that the family was never separated for three weeks at the time.

In addition to Carmen, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have six other children: the daughters Ilaria Catalina Irena (2) and María Lucía Victoria (3), as well as the sons Eduardo Pao Lucas (4), Romeo Alejandro David (6), Leonardo Ángel Charles (7) and Rafael Thomas (9). In addition, the actor of daughter Ireland (29) is from a previous relationship with Kim Basinger (71).

The incident that changed his life

In October 2021, Alec Baldwin held a supposed propary weapon in the hand on the western film “Rust” in New Mexico, from which a shot with a sharp ammunition loosened and killed the Halyna Hutchins camera (1979-2021). Criminal proceedings for negligent killing were surprisingly discontinued in July 2024 because, according to a judge, the public prosecutor’s office has deliberately retained evidence. In the event of a guilty verdict, Baldwin threatened up to 18 months in prison.
