Mindy Kaling talks about viral scene with Duchess Meghan
In her lifestyle series at Netflix, Duchess Meghan cooks with actress Mindy Kaling. Suddenly there is resentment about her new surname. What is behind it.
It is an interaction between two women who can be interpreted differently. In her Netflix series “With Love, Meghan” Duchess Meghan invites the actress Mindy Kaling to cook with her. The two women apparently understand each other well, make jokes. Meghan even tells Kaling that she liked to eat junk food as a child, she particularly liked dishes from “Jack in A Box”, an American fast food chain.

“People would never believe Meghan Markle ate at ‘Jack in the Box’,” Kaling then jokingly told Duchess. “It’s so funny that you always say Markle. You know that I’m sussex now,” Meghan replies with a reference to her title she has been wearing Prince Harry since the wedding. While some spectators find that Meghan has a right to point out their new names, others interpret their response in the scene as high and think of being able to recognize Kaling’s facial expressions.
From numbers girl to the Duchess: This is how Meghan has changed over the years
Before Meghan Markle Hollywood air sniffed and later became a Duchess, she had to start on TV Klein in 2006: as a number girl in the game show “Deal or No Deal”. An experience that she later looked back with mixed feelings. “I was grateful for the job, but not for how I felt. … not clever. By the way, I was surrounded by clever women who were on stage with me,” she said in a episode of her podcast “Archetypes”. “But that was not the reason why we were there. And in the end I went home with a smooth feeling in my stomach because I knew that I was so much more than what was objectified on stage”

In any case, the short moment between the two women caused plenty of sensation on social networks. So much that Kaling was now positioning itself. “I noticed that whenever I do something that has to do with Meghan, it becomes a big message,” she said in the US talk show “The View”.
Kaling defends Meghan
“We made sandwiches and suddenly people pave my face on Tikkok and say: ‘Look at this emotion that you felt’. And to be honest, I didn’t even remember the scene because we made it nine months ago,” she added.
“I loved the time with Meghan,” said the actress, known from series like “The Office” and “The Morning Show”. “It was great and really fascinating to see the reactions on her show,” she said. The Duchess series has been discussed a lot in Great Britain and in the British media, especially in the British media. Most British reviews are devastating, in the United States the Duchess gets away a little better.
